Against all odds, as the world enters the 30's, peace has been maintained. With the Fatherlands founding in the late 1800's, tensions in Europe only seemed to rise as the balance of power was thrown out the window. The Fatherlands vast industrial power and large land armies has always been a threat to the dominating powers of France and Britain; especially with the open hostility between the powers. The Fatherland has always been hostile to the French and English due to their hubris and pompous position in the world. The Fatherland even directly challenged them when creating "The Grand Imperial European Congress" and allying the fetching nation of Italy in 1904, directly undermining French authority in the region. Challenging them again with large naval programs in 1910 that are still in continuation to this day. Now the Fatherland is navally superior to the French and Nord's combined, but still pales in comparison to the vast fleets of Britannia.
Tensions came to their all time high in 1914 with the foundation of the "Entente" with France, England and the Kingdom of Scandinavia. With this foundation it was thought war would break out any day, but to the worlds surprise and relief, the Fatherlands "International Diplomacy Department" (or the IDD) handled the situation expertly, and stopped the Fatherland from provoking war. Naval Programs continued along with the expansion of already one of the largest land armies on the glode, and vast air-forces; especially with the first Fatherland aircraft carrier produced in 1922; and continued carrier production.
Although the main advantage and pride of the Fatherland, is it's Mage Korps. Magic users around the empire have been conscripted and put under extreme training for military purposes, making the Fatherland cement it's place as a land and air power. Recently, Italy decided to fallow in the Fatherlands example (1927). Ever since the Fatherland has been schooling Italian mages.
Now with Iberia joining under the wing of the Fatherland, tensions have reignited in Europe. Most of the Entente has to re militarize while the Grand Imperial European Congress has been mobilizing for years. War is once again seen as inevitable and with Iberia now brought into the fold the outcome of war has become even more unpredictable. Italy and Iberia have begin join naval maneuvers, with Italian naval officers hosting them directly inside French Ocean space, challenging the French dominance in the region. This was met with no resistance, as the Italian's alone can rival the French Fleet as a whole, with the inclusion of Iberia France would not have stood a chance. The Fatherland upon hearing this was quit amused that their small allies were able to humiliate the Entente in such a way and has begun their own plan to humiliate the Entente.
Recently, the Kaiser himself contacted Sangvis Ferri, assuring a non aggression pact between the two nations, allowing for even more focus on the Entente. Now that peace with "The Two Giants" has been secured, The Fatherland has begun to pressure Romania, demanding their subjugation and complete ownership over their oil fields.
Romania remains undecided while the Entente threaten war if the Fatherland goes through with this. The Demand has been sent, and the Kaiser has promised not to react until an official response is given. Romania however is yet to respond, and the two alliances prepare for the coming war, as both sides know, regardless of the Romanian response, there will be war.
